I pass by the Lighthouse Center for Vision Loss, 4505 West Superior Street (also known as Duluth LIghthouse for the Blind) every time I head to our neighborhood grocery store.  When I was a Duluth Lion's Club Member I helped to raise funds for the organization and collected used glasses on a regular basis from St. Luke's.  While I was in a public restroom yesterday I saw a poster for the Lighthouse and their low vision store.  I had no idea they had one, THIS is fabulous!

It has tools and devices that will make life easier for those with low vision.  I didn't know it even existed. For those of us that have aging parents, grandparents or family friends that are struggling with their vision you could give them a holiday gift that will enhance their life!  They have talking calculators, talking watches and clocks and

For fun they have Braille or Jumbo Print BINGO cards, braille Scrabble tiles and self-threading needles so you can continue to craft!

If you have further questions or would like to receive a catalog you can contact them at 218-624-4828.   They also offer a hands on tour where their staff will help you choose the best product for your needs.

If you have someone on your holiday list with low vision and didn't know the Lighthouse Center for Low Vision store existed, I bet you'll find the perfect gift this year!
