Books play an important role in our lives and now that school has begun across the Northland, that fact becomes even more apparent.  The public is invited to celebrate books at the Zenith Bookstore Grand Opening Book Fair.

The Grand Opening Book Fair is set for Saturday, September 16, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.  The event will fill the parking lot between the independent bookshop and Beaner’s Central Coffeehouse in West Duluth.

Books will not only be featured, but Minnesota talent, both literary and musical, including a curated lineup of local authors will also be in attendance.

According to the press release, psychological suspense writer Brian Freeman will discuss Marathon, his newest title, and give the first-ever sneak preview of the Duluth-based Jonathan Stride book Alter Ego.  Lorna Landvik, Minneapolis author and comedian, will delve into her journey as a novelist.

You'll also be able to visit with three-time Minnesota Book Award winner Barton Sutter and award-winning author Linda LeGarde Grover.

There will also be a variety of food and other festivities, including a live performance from Duluth singer-songwriter Teague Alexy.
