What Happened To The Minnesota Vikings?

The Vikings are so bad that they have fallen in the USA Today Power Rankings from 10 to 13 to 23.

Nothing seems to be going their way, their star player Michael Pierce opted out of the season then they lose Anthony Barr, Danelle Hunter is on the sidelines, now The Pioneer Press says they are losing two cornerbacks, Mike Hughes and Cameron Dantzler.  Mike Zimmer says he has enough corners to replace them, but these guys haven't played yet.

The two will join linebacker Anthony Barr, who is out for the season after suffering a shoulder injury against the Colts, and defensive end Danielle Hunter, who is on injured reserve. Their defense has taken a step back.

Now for the offense, Gary Kubiak was made OC and he has won a Super Bowl so he must know what he is doing. So far, the offense looks terrible. Kubiak told PFTs Mike Florio and Yahoo! Sports he knows he needs to do something. Yes, how about telling Kirk Cousins that he needs to get a killer instinct. He looks scared, just like last season. What did the Vikings see in him to sign him to a 66 million dollar extension?

They traded away Stephon Diggs, which I think was a good decision. Now that he is gone, everyone covers Thielen. They need to get the Rookie Jefferson up to speed. He says he wants the ball more. That means they aren't targeting him in my opinion.

What do they have to do to win? That remains to be seen. In my opinion, Cook was the key last year, give him the ball. Kirk was called out that year, someone needs to call him out. They need to get the ball to other people so Theilen can make some big plays. The Defense? They are too young to be the Defense of old. I'm not a coach though, or I would be making millions of dollars.
