Just before the first day of School at Northern Lights Elementary School in Superior, a group of volunteers took on a project that was their own idea. They wanted to weed out the landscaped area at Northern Lights and clean it up. They did just that, according to a Facebook post from the Superior School District.

The students, identified as John & Cameron, approached MS. Wolfe and asked if they could do the project. They then pulled out 15 bags worth of weeds, and placed down 60 bags of mulch.  They were also assisted by two retired Northern Lights teachers.

It's nice to see some kids step up and take pride in our school district. Well done!
