Spring cleaning isn't just something we all have to do at our homes, city parks and public spaces need some cleanup too and Duluth Parks and Recreation is looking for volunteers.

The City is looking for individuals, groups or organizations to sign up for Clean and Green projects and lend a hand to help keep the city looking great as we head towards summer, the best two weeks of the year!

Duluth Parks and Rec will provide all necessary supplies to all registered Clean and Green projects and will also haul away the bags of collected garbage after the event.

According to their press release:

Individuals and groups are encouraged to commit to picking up garbage at a location of their choice throughout the season by choosing to “adopt-a-spot.” One-time clean-up events are also welcomed and are a great group activity for friends, clubs, or businesses. If you don’t have a particular location in mind, one can be assigned depending on the group’s size, age, availability, and other preferences.

Projects can begin as soon as the snow melts, and they can continue into the fall season.
