Duluth parks

With more people heading out to Northland parks and trails with their dogs, it's important to keep in mind the leash law that is in place.

The Duluth Parks And Recreation Department has closed playgrounds and issued new parks and trails guidelines to help in stopping the spread of COVID-19.

The Duluth Preservation Alliance and the Lincoln Park Bussiness group welcome local historian and author Nancy Nelson for a book signing November 25th at the Duluth Folk School 1917 West Superior St at 1:00 pm. Nancy will do a presentation on Bert Enger and Lincoln Park.

Duluth has so many beautiful parks to visit that it's hard to find the time to see them all.  Now, you can do just that from the comfort of your own home.

Finally, some good news on the war against drugs locally.  I spend quite a bit of time outside on the Lakewalk, in our parks, Park Point beach and other areas and have never really thought that I need to watch for used syringes.  I would be horrified if my family or dog were to get stuck with one.  A project in action for the past seven months is proving to be successful and that makes me feel bet
