USA Today Names Duluth Attraction Best Of 2025

It's Bentleyville or bust! One of my favorite times of the year is when the annual light festival pops up. It makes Duluth that much more magical.

Locals know that the best time to go is during the week, saving the weekend for those that travel out of town just to go. So many people come from all over the place just to see it and walk through it.

The Christmas season just wouldn't be the same without it. I love that I get to see it driving to and from work everyday and am always sad when it's gone for the season.

It looks like I am not alone because Bentleyville is now making national headlines once again and for an absolutely incredible reason!

Bentleyville Named Among Top Ten Public Holiday Light Displays

Yay, Bentleyville! The event has been named among the top ten public holiday light displays in the country, which is pretty impressive when you consider the hefty competition. How did it get there? Editors and experts at USA Today started it all, looking for the 'brightest and most beautiful' holiday light shows.

They looked by neighborhood, cities and the like. Then, from there, they allowed readers to vote on their favorites. From there, the list was narrowed down to ten. The people have spoken and Bentleyville is one of the best!

But Wait - That's Not All! Bentleyville Named Number One

Not only did Bentleyville make the top ten but the festival of lights came in at number one! Out of all the places in the country, our Duluth attraction came in at number one. How incredible! The fact that you can take a photo with Santa and enjoy some treats helped boost it to the top spot.

USA Today also mentions the fact that it's one of the country's largest walk-through light displays, has over five-million lights and sits on the shore of Lake Superior. What other light display can say that?!
