Tyson Foods Issues Recall On Ready-To-Eat Chicken Patties
There is yet another recall to make note of.
This time around it is Tyson Foods, Inc. They are recalling their Weaver brand ready-to-eat chicken patties. Why? There is the possibility of what they call "foreign matter contamination."
Tyson is recalling nearly 40-thousand pounds of the product, according to a press release put out by the Food Safety and Inspection Service.
If you have purchased the product, here's what you should look for to determine if your package is impacted by the recall:
- 26-oz resealable plastic bag
- A 'best if used by' date of January 31, 2020
- A lot code of 0319PBF0617, 0319PBF0618, 0319PBF0619, 0319PBF0620, 0319PBF0621, 0319PBF0622, 0319PBF0623 or 0319PBF0600
- An establishment number of P-13456' printed on the back of the bag
You are asked to return the product or throw it away if it matches the description above.
The Food Safety and Inspection Service says that they did receive complaints about extraneous material but did not say if anyone was injured. The products were shipped everywhere.
