Twins Announce Spring Training Details; Nonstop Flights Available From Duluth!
We may have a winter storm hammering the Northland this week, but that doesn't mean we can't think spring! On Tuesday, the Minnesota Twins revealed their full promotions lineup for 2023 Spring Training home games at Hammond Stadium in Fort Myers, Florida.
They will have at least one special offer for all 17 games and the popular “Pick Five Pack,” along with Spring Training season and group ticket packages, are available for purchase now. Single-game tickets will go on sale beginning Thursday, January 12, at 10:00 a.m. via phone or online only.
The 2023 Twins' Spring Training Schedule features 33 total games (17 home, 16 road), including a Thursday, March 9 home contest against the World Baseball Classic’s star-studded Dominican Republic team.
The Grapefruit League opener is set for Saturday, February 25 and the Twins will play a pair of split-squad games on that day, including a Hammond Stadium game against the Tampa Bay Rays.
The Twins' promotional schedule includes the new Meal Deal, featuring a Grandstand ticket, hot dog and Pepsi for $12, available for every game. Other promotional highlights include:
- A Pregame Happy Hour event before a their March 3 and March 21 games.
- A special Sunday Kids Day, which includes the opportunity to run the bases postgame, on March 5 and 19.
- Postgame Fireworks on March 3 (coupled with the Pregame Happy Hour)
- The annual Minnesota Day on March 5 (including Kids Day)
- Senior Day specials for fans 55 and older that include a Home Plate View seat, hot dog and Pepsi for just $30 on February 25 and March 1, 7, 14 and 16
- Salute to Service games in which veterans, active military, first responders, police, EMTs, firefighters, healthcare workers and teachers can purchase up to four tickets at half price in The Porch or Home Plate View seating levels (February 25 and 28, and March 17, 19 and 21).
The Twins advise fans to make travel plans well in advance and here's where it gets very convenient for people in the Duluth area.
Sun Country Airlines is once again offering nonstop, round trip service from the Duluth International Airport to Fort Myers, Florida.
Direct flights from Duluth to the Sunshine State are on Fridays and Mondays now through April 17, 2023. Prices vary based on the dates of travel, but how great is it that you could board the plane in Duluth and fly directly to Fort Myers for Twins Spring Training Baseball?
