We are very lucky here in the Northland to have many different places that offer the chance to see live bands in a variety of venues. Below is a list of the most popular places to check out and have some fun supporting the local music scene.
Blush: 18 North 1st Avenue West, Duluth, MN
A community-based art gallery, and intimate music venue with a full bar. Make sure to check them out as one of the participating venues for the Homegrown Music Festival.
R.T. Quinlan's: 220 West Superior Street, Duluth, MN
R.T. Quinlan's has been a staple in Duluth for over 30 years. Known as the best local bar that never sleeps the bar prides itself on being a friendly local bar where you can hang your hat after a long day of work and enjoy an ice-cold beer with top-notch service and great local music.

The Reef Bar is an East End of Duluth staple. Smack dab on London Road it is hard to miss this gem. A large bar that seems to go back blocks they do not serve food but allow you to you bringing in your own or they have chips and free popcorn. The very back room of the bar is open when they have live music which is a great intimate setting to watch your favorite band.

The Breeze Inn is located just outside the city limits of Duluth and was recently nominated best Twin Ports Bar and Grill. Amazing food in a cozy bar inside and deck with a fire pit outside. A full bar with 16 local and regional taps. The Breeze Inn has a regular schedule of live music indoors and outside on the deck weather permitting. The staff is top-notch and owners Kate and Shawn make everyone feel like family. Worth the trip for the food and atmosphere alone!

Bent Paddle Brewing Company is a 30-barrel production craft brewery and taproom that opened up in 2013. The taproom contains their marketplace along with some experimental versions of beer and some non-alcoholic options in this family-friendly taproom. They also have an indoor and outdoor space and a heated pet-friendly patio. You can enjoy many activities like trivia and also live music.
