Just a few weeks after Harold's annual Golf Fiasco comes another event from the family raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and this one is really tasty!

Harold and family are known in the Northland for their charitable hearts, holding several events each year to raise money for St. Jude. They are a huge part of our annual St. Jude Radiothon and are passionate about giving back.

In fact, during the last weekend of August, Harold and family raised $21,008 dollars at Harold's Golf Fiasco. Each year, this event raises thousands of dollars for St. Jude and despite some severe weather, they raised just as much this year!

Now, they are raising money for the cause once again with Harold's Hogfest. At Harold's Hogfest, you get a delicious meal for a small price. All proceeds benefit St. Jude and the food is delicious!

Harold's Hogfest will take place on Saturday, September 11th. It will kick off at noon and continue through about 5 p.m. so you can feast for lunch, dinner or both. It will take place rain or shine.

Harold's Hogfest will take place at the Carlton VFW, located at 124 Chestnut Avenue. The price is $8 dollars per plate. You can feast on pulled pork, beans, coleslaw, dinner rolls and dessert. Plates will be available to go and delivery within the area is also available. For questions, contact Tara at 218-348-4492.

If you are out and about Saturday, make sure you stop by the Carlton VFW for a nice lunch or dinner and support an amazing cause! The event will take place rain or shine so keep an umbrella handy.

Although a few months away, there will be another event from Harold and family later this year. Each year, the family holds a Christmas tree fundraiser which is really cool! For a donation of your choosing, you can go to a tree farm in Wrenshall, cut down a tree and take it home. All proceeds go to St. Jude.

We hold a Radiothon for St. Jude every single year for the cause. If you aren't familiar with St. Jude, it is an amazing hospital in Tennessee. Kids with cancer and life-threatening diseases are sent there and families are never given a bill. It truly is an amazing place and an amazing cause.
