Three Times To Look Into The Sky In August
How awesome is this?!
Throughout the month of August, you will have three different chances to see our solar system like never before.
According to Earthsky.com, we will be able to see Jupiter, Saturn and the moon line up in a straight line. This is a relatively rare phenomenon so save the date now.
The sightings will occur between August 9th through the 11th. Here's what you can expect:
- On August 9th, the moon will appear above and to the left of Jupiter with Saturn to the left.
- On August 10th, the moon will be on the left.
- On August 11th, the moon will be to the right of Saturn.
The sightings will begin at nightfall and will last for most of the night.
Speaking of planets, I don't know about you - but I sure am glad Mercury is no longer in retrograde. It ended on the last day of July and I will take a pretty light show on top of weird things happening any time. Ha!
