This Halloween Decoration is Impossible to Find in Duluth

There is one particular Halloween decoration that I've had my eye on ever since it was released in 2020, now it's impossible to find and scalpers are hoarding them.

You can only get this monstrous decoration at Home Depot, and with only one location in Duluth, it makes it hard to get a hold of the 12-Foot Giant Skeleton, or new for this year, the 12-Foot Inferno Pumpkin Skeleton. Both of these spooky masterpieces come complete with animated eyes, these things are insanely cool.

In one of my many trips to the Duluth Home Depot to see if they got any of the 12-Foot Giant Skeletons in stock, I got to talking with a team member there and he said they got maybe 4 of them on the first day of Halloween decoration being in stock, and there were people camped out at 6 AM to get their hands on one.

The day I was there, they had gotten two in the night before, and again, people were there at 6 AM ready to swoop in like Dracula and take them home. Clearly, I need to step up my game if I want to get my hands on one of these beauties.

Duluth isn't the only place facing a rush of 12-Foot Giant Skeleton enthusiasts, I'm in a Facebook group of such enthusiasts, over 28 thousand of them a matter of fact, and people all over the country are struggling to find them.

Some people are still reporting them showing up at stores, so I'll keep popping in from time to time and trying to grab one, but if anyone can help me score one, you would be my forever Halloween Hero!

According to Home Depot, "Both skeletons are built with LifeEyes technology, an in-house creation that uses LCD screens in animated characters." Lance Allen is one of the designers of the skelaton and he says about the eyes, "What’s great about the screens is that we can fully program whatever image or scene we want on them, that’s what gives Skelly his realistic blue eyes."

With hard to find items like this, scalpers come out of their coffins and prey on the people willing to shell out up to double the $300 retail price for this holy grail of Halloween decorations.
