Let's be honest.  How many big stars has NBC's the voice produced?  Even out of the winners, I don't think any of them are superstar status.  In country music we've had winners Cassadee Pope and Danielle Bradberry, and both have had mild success.  (Part of that to blame is the male dominated industry, I think.)  However, watching Craig Wayne Boyd makes me think he could actually have "IT."  He's already got ties in the Nashville community beyond Blake & Miranda.  He's got an incredible talent and strong stage presence.  He fits into a section of the mainstream country right now too.   He's along side the "still country" artists like Randy Houser, Chris Young, Josh Turner and others.

He doesn't fit really into "bro country," like Luke Bryan or Florida Georgia Line, but that's fine.  That's a strong point for him, as he has the vocal depth to really be a shining country star.   We will just have to wait and see what happens.

Congrats Craig!
