Peter Krause’s Upcoming TV Return Just Got A Major Update From NBC
We have many famous actors that hail from Minnesota but one of my very favorites, if not my favorite, is definitely Peter Krause. He has been on a ton of shows, including 9-1-1, which is one of his most famous roles yet.
He is from Alexandra and grew up in Roseville. Sadly, he was killed off the show in a shock move back in 2025. He was on the show as the beloved Captain Bobby Nash since 2018, making us all proud.

I still haven't watched that episode, despite being a loyal viewer, because I don't think my heart can handle it. However, the good news is that he has already booked a new show.
We learned about it back in February. At the time, it was going to be called Protection. Now, we have new details on the show - including when it will be coming out. I can't wait!
Peter Krause's New Show Gets New Name & Premiere Date
NBC held their annual 'Upfront' event on Monday (May 11th), where they reveal their upcoming lineups, new shows coming soon and such. Peter and his new cast were in attendance to reveal a bunch of exciting news about the show.

First of all, the show will now be called Line Of Fire. His character is in the secret service, along with his son. The show will air this fall on NBC, with its official slots being Monday nights at 9 p.m. our time after The Voice. I am counting down the days.
Peter was on the TODAY Show Tuesday morning (May 12th) to promote the new show, and said it is a family-centered show that doubles as a thriller. I am intrigued for sure! He also called it interesting and unusual with lots of twist and turns. Hmmm...

The show follows a family of law enforcement agents that cross boundaries and butt heads as they work for different agencies like the FBI, Secret Service, Department of Justice and more.
That is just the beginning! NBC's official description continues, writing:
After a seemingly cut-and-dry case turns into a deadly conspiracy, they must use the expertise from a lifetime of protecting civilians and politicians to protect one another and bring the killer to justice … even if it means betraying their sworn code.
OPE! Okay, this definitely sounds juicy. Peter's character is named Mike Thornhill.
We don't have a trailer or an exact premiere date just yet but I can't wait for this one. I will definitely be watching! Will you?
