Another year, another alleged New England Patriots cheating scandal.  There were reports after the AFC Championship game that Patriots were using footballs that were not properly inflated.  The game was played in rainy conditions, and this would allow the players to have a better grip on ball than their opponent, the Indianapolis Colts.

After an investigation, ESPN.com is reporting that the NFL has discovered at 11 of the 12 allotted game footballs were under-inflated by 2 pounds of air (PSI) less than what's required by NFL regulations.

Below is their report.  If this is true, then the question is how do you punish them for underhandedly attempting to gain an advantage?  It may not have played a role is Sunday's game, but that shouldn't make it okay.
