The craft beer and brewing scene in Duluth continues thrive and a new service is offering free rides between craft brew hot spots every weekend, beginning February 8.

According to The Reader, The Hopper is a free service that will offer safe transportation between multiple breweries:

The Hopper will be driving a one-hour loop between Lincoln Park, downtown and Canal Park with three minute stops at several locations including Duluth Cider, Ursa Minor, Hoops, Dubh Linn, and Lake Superior Brewing. Other breweries and craft industries will tentatively be added to their route in the future.

It's important to note that this is not a tour service, it is a means to get rides to various places to try different scenes and different brews without having to drive.

The Hopper is a 1997 Ford Econoline Club Wagon, which seats 15 passengers, and they hope to add a second vehicle in the future.

The Hopper will operate Friday’s from 5:00 p.m. to midnight and Saturday’s 3:00 p.m. to midnight.

In essence, you could Uber down to Lincoln Park to start your night out and then use The Hopper to visit other places before ultimately taking an Uber back home from your last stop of the night.  That would provide a fun time without anyone drinking and driving.
