The National Weather Service has shared its prediction for the end of November into December, and it looks like it could be even colder than normal. The forecast is for November 22 - December 5th, and includes the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

The Duluth office of the National Weather Service predicts a 30%-50% chance of temperatures flipping into a below-normal range. This would feel even more drastic, considering we've experienced above-average temperatures this autumn.

Besides the chance of colder weather, the NWS is also predicting a chance of above-average precipitation. That could mean more snow or freezing rain for Holiday travel. Northern Minnesota will see equal chances of precipitation, while the bottom half of the state has a 33-40% chance of above normal precipitation.

The weather pattern change is expected to occur sometime in the last week of November and the first week of December. Make sure your snow scraper, hat, mittens, gloves, shovels, snowblowers, and whatever else you need are ready to go.

Temperatures remain above average currently and are expected to remain that way for the next week.
