Target’s Buy 2 Get 1 Free Video Game Doesn’t Apply to All Games

I think Target's buy 2 get 1 free video game deal is a nice idea, but make sure you read the fine print, if you can even find it. Two friends of mine and I tried to save some money by purchasing Red Dead Redemption II with this deal. But it didn't work.

I was told as soon as I picked up the game that the deal didn't apply to that game. Well what the heck? I looked online and it didn't say anything? Even as I'm typing this blog it's taking me quite a while to pull up the small print details at the very bottom of the online deal promotion. I saw an asterisk next to the "Buy 2 Get 1 Free*" up top, but then when I scroll to find the details it is excruciatingly slow to pull up and not very clear on what games apply or don't apply to this deal.

The website is trash. Every time I try to click on the sale restrictions or something it redirects to a different spot, it's glitchy and it's embarrassing that a company that is this big would have this many problems. When I click on help for current promotions and offers it redirects me to free shipping questions. Nowhere can I find the offer details for this current promotion after 15 minutes of searching.
