Target Corporation has announced that they will be giving out $500 cash bonuses to 375,000 of their Frontline Team Members as a way of saying Thank You for all that they have done during the Pandemic in these unprecedented times.

Target released a statement:

To show our gratitude as we wrap a year unlike any other, Target is giving $500 bonuses to all hourly team members in stores, distribution centers and our headquarters and field-based offices. In addition, all Store Directors, Executive Team Leaders and salaried Distribution Center leaders (12,000 in total) will receive a bonus ranging from $1,000-$2,000. That’s a $200 million investment.

With many companies suffering devastating losses and small business and restaurants closing their doors for good Target seems to have thrived through the pandemic thanks to the Holidays and online shopping. Of course many companies wish they could do the same for their employees who have stuck by them and worked so hard to provide good services, but they do not have the financial backing to do so. But for other major companies like Target take notice, this is how you take care of your employees.

This is the fifth time Target has recognized Team Members with bonuses going above and beyond during the pandemic and also has started offering $15 an hour as a starting wage at their stores and distribution centers. Retail is one of the toughest jobs around during this pandemic we have sure seen the ugly side of customers. Whether it is a lack of patience to refusing to wear a mask inside the stores. All of these people on the frontline at these stores are just trying to do their job and enforce what policies are in place.  Thank you to all the employees who are keeping the shelves stocked and making the store a clean safe place to shop.
