Fans of 'The Hobbit' and adventure fans in general have been waiting for the first glimpse of director Peter Jackson's third film in the series, "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies".  The wait is over.

When I was growing up, 'Hercules' was Lou Ferrigno and the movies were not exactly Academy Award worthy.  Perhaps this new one will be an improvement.

The movie 'Frozen' is now another family favorite from Disney, with a positive story and plenty of songs.  Perhaps you've heard that obscure tune "Let It Go"?  However, there are some dark themes running in the movie and this trailer shows how "Frozen" could be a horror movie.

Seth MacFarlane, of 'Family Guy' and 'Ted' fame, has a new movie coming out and it's his take on the Old West.

I have to admit that even though I know the story of the X-Men, I never really got into the X-Men movies.  In fact, I never saw a single one until I caught 'X-Men First Class' on a movie channel. I did love it which makes the concept of the latest X-Men movie seem very cool to me.

It was three years ago today, April 8, 2011 that Carrie Underwood made her acting debut in the movie Soul Surfer.  Since then she has blossomed, not only in music, but transforming from movies to stage when she performed in "Sound of Music" which aired live on TV.

Every parent knows the drill.  If a movie comes out that your kids love, you end up watching it about 100 times.  They never seem to tire of it, meanwhile you slowly go insane. Among the hopeful blockbusters on the big screen this year are the return of a childhood favorite, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

We don't have to look any further than 'Bull Durham' and 'Field Of Dreams' to know Kevin Costner kills it in baseball movies.  He even fared well in the golf movie 'Tin Cup'.  So, how do you think he'll do in a football movie, where he plays the general manager of the Cleveland Browns?

When I heard that the beloved Peanuts characters would be on the big screen for the first time ever in 2015, I was happy as I was one of the millions of kids who watched their television specials every year.  I also couldn't believe it took this long to happen.

The Academy Awards are over, and this time of year tends to be a dumping ground for movies that the studios aren't all that proud of.  Things will start picking up again by May and that is also the month that comedy lovers will most likely find themselves going to see 'Neighbors'.
