Finally! We were able to take the cycle out for the first time during our 80 degree weather last week.  I'm hoping to get my OWN motorcycle license and my OWN ride soon which mean holding an Iphone is out for shooting video.  Are the classes hard?

First things first, congratulations to our high school and college graduates.  Another mile stone reached to enhance your continued journey!  This past Saturday was a busy one for the canal park area and the DECC/Amsoil Arena.  UMD held it's commencement ceremonies for 2, 353 students.  The U-of Wisconsin Superior also had 356 students graduate on Saturday.  With our local colleges on summer break

Lake Superior College Integrated Manufacturing students have been busy this semester.  They are learning "hands-on", engineering, molding, welding and machining a remotely-controlled robotic machine.  It's a labor of love that may be destroyed in minutes before their eyes.  You can be part of the thrilling action!

Over time we all accumulate papers that we don't want to just throw away.  These could be bank statements, credit card statements or those special APR advance checks they send, etc.  If you have a bunch of papers boxed up at your house that need to be shredded, rather than just thrown out, take advantage of the Shred-A-Thon Saturday at Lake Superior College.

Are you fascinated by robots?  Have you ever built a robot?  Some local high school students have and now it's time for the competition to begin.  It's the 6th year to watch "Battle of the Bots" at Lake Superior College.   Come support the students who built the "bots" and cheer on your favorite!!

This was something pretty entertaining.  Cathy Kates back in 1984 was asked to fill in for a talent show at Lake Superior College (vo-tech back then) where she was studying medical transcription.  Maybe she should have been studying dance...
