A story was circulating on social media about a sex trafficking gang using an 11-year-old as bait.

The hand signal is pretty simple, and many wouldn't give the signal a second glance if they didn't know what it meant.

Minnesota Law Enforcement agencies teamed up for a human trafficking operation that took place over the past few days in Beltrami County.

These stories circulate and get parents very nervous that someone is going to steal their child for human trafficking. But in reality, it happens a different way.

Human Trafficking isn't something that just happens in other areas, it's a real problem that reaches into the Northland.  It's also a problem that requires the public to help law enforcement, which is why the Minnesota Department of Transportation is dedicated to creating awareness.
