Fitger's

Last week ended with a record-setting snowstorm, which caused significant damage to the Lakewalk in Canal Park.  The City of Duluth has since been working on repairs, and are now reporting that a segment of the Lakewalk has been reopened. 

If you're looking for a new place to eat in the Northland, the Fitgers Brewery Complex will have a new option waiting for you in February.

I love this time of year, when we get closer to spring and the weather gets warmer.  Daylight Saving this weekend is one sure sign that the seasons are changing, and another is that it's Bockfest time at Fitger's.

Reindeer are somewhat of a mystery.  Honestly, I don't know how they carry that HUGE rack of antlers around?  We know they are extremely important to Santa and the big job he's expected to do on Christmas Eve.  But, what are reindeer games, how do they stay in shape and what exactly is each reindeer's job?  I had the chance to talk to a "fill-in" reindeer, Zora at Fitger's and she "

Kids, families and even dogs are invited to get their picture taken with Santa at the Fitger's Complex.  Donations benefit the Northern Lights Foundation and other non-profit organizations.  It's FREE to military families and pets are more than welcome! (especially when I'm there volunteering!)

I scream.  You scream.  We all scream for ice cream.  I believe it was Abraham Lincoln or Richard Simmons who coined that phrase years ago and it still rings true today.  To me, ice cream is kind of like pizza in that it's hard to find really bad ice cream and even when it's bad, it's still pretty good.

The Fitger's 5K is coming up April 11, and there are limited entries available for the race.  If you've been considering entering, perhaps the fun look of the 2015 Finisher Shirt will get you motivated to sign up.

The weather forecast for this Saturday, April 16, is calling for cold temps and snow. Not exactly ideal for the 22nd Annual Fitger's 5K Run/Walk, but the race, like the postal service, will go on despite the weather.....unless there's lightning.
