Fall colors

It's the season to check out the fall colors, and a road trip is a great way to see Mother Nature at her most colorful.  The Minnesota DNR suggests you drive through a Minnesota State Park.

According to the Minnesota DNR, conditions are shaping up for the potential of a brilliant fall colors season. The DNR's forest health specialists say we had enough rain to set up the early stages of what's necessary for vibrant fall colors, but temperatures are the big factor moving forward.

YouTube user, and old friend of mine, AboveTheRange has captured peak fall colors at a major landmark in Northern Minnesota.  With this High Definition 1080 quality, you can actually see people hiking on the trails hundreds of feet below the drone.  The colors are absolutely amazing.

We wait for it every Autumn, the changing colors of our leaves to brilliant reds, deep oranges and bright yellows.   Locals know that the change has been delayed a bit by our continued summer-like temps, but with the cooler nights predicted this week, we are nearing the peak of perfection.

Fall in the Northland is a uniquely beautiful experience. Within a short driving distance, you can enjoy the vibrant beauty our area has to offer with a number of different backdrops; from Lake Superior to the rolling hills of Northern Wisconsin or the rugged country of the Iron Range.

Fall is here, and the brilliant colors that Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin are known for in the autumn months are out in force. The Minnesota DNR says this year's fall colors season will be short, but definitely won't disappoint.

One of the most wonderful things about living in this area or visiting the Twin Ports and North Shore is the breathtaking scenery throughout the year. With the varied terrain and Lake Superior influencing the weather, this area's fall foliage can vary greatly from one place to the next.
