The remixes just keep coming! Brad Paisley is the latest hitmaker to blend one of his popular singles, this time with the help of Colt Ford.

Colt Ford stopped by the Taste of Country New York office this week to play some tunes and answer a few questions. Ford performed music from his new album 'Thanks for Listening,' which dropped earlier this month.

Would Florida Georgia Line be thriving today if Colt Ford had struggled before them? That's a big question -- one that isn't meant to discredit anything Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard have accomplished in the two years since 'Cruise' became the most popular song since 'Happy Birthday.'

Colt Ford is a trailblazer in the genre of Country Music.  He's so far on the leading edge that sometimes his music doesn't make it into mainstream country.  That doesn't mean it isn't good though.

Colt Ford made a fan of Ronnie Dunn during a live show a few years ago. The country legend admits in this behind-the-scenes video that he quickly judged Ford, but after hearing his show, he understood. In fact, he joined him to sing the chorus of 'Mr. Goodtime' on the 'Ride Through the Country Revisited' album.

'Drivin' Around Song' is Colt Ford's best chance for a radio hit, something the singer would likely be willing to shave his body hair for. Jason Aldean's chorus is smooth and memorable, and his presence on the track from 'Declaration of Independence' gives Ford superstar credibility.

I've blogged about Colt Ford before, and how much I like his music.  A lot of people have warmed up to Country Music "Rap" since Jason Aldean covered Colt Ford's song "Dirt Road Anthem."  Colt Ford is respected by country music artist enough, that he has had duets with everyone from Tim McGraw to Charlie Daniels.

Colt Ford is putting his big heart to good use next month when he hosts the first-annual Colt Ford and Friends Celebrity Golf Classic in Georgia. The fundraising event is set to take place on Monday, Sept. 24 at Chateau Elan, just outside of Atlanta. Proceeds raised from the event will go directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to help continue its mission of helping kids who are battlin

On previous albums, Colt Ford backed himself into a tight corner, insisting he’s not rap while spitting rap-like messages of country life, love and fun. The singer admits that by aiming to please everyone, he left most feeling a few bites short of a full meal. This isn’t a problem on ‘Declaration of Independence.’

Colt Ford turns down the tempo in his latest video for ‘Back,’ with country superstar Jake Owen providing lead vocals for the slow-burning country-rap tune. Directed by Potsy Ponciroli, the clip features Ford going “back” to basics, returning to his hometown of Athens, Ga. to reminisce about the good old days.
