I finally had the time to get around to watching these blockbuster movies from the last couple of years. They are all available on HBO, and they are definitely worth the watch. Make sure to watch them before they leave.
Unless your name happens to be Kathryn Bigelow (and if it is, then may I say that it’s a pleasure, Ms. Bigelow, big Point Break fan), Hollywood has had a lot of trouble figuring out how to portray the Global War on Terror. The odd movies that have succeeded critically or financially — Bigelow’s The Hurt Locker and Zero Dark Thirty, Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper — take an ambivalent stance on a complicated and nuanced geopolitical situation, but many more have attempted the same and floundered. 'World War Z' hits theaters this weekend, and Paramount wants to make sure you're good and pumped for it. The studio has released a brand new extended clip from the film, featuring Brad Pitt's Gerry Lane making a daring rooftop escape with his family in tow, including 'The Killing' star Mireille Enos...
'World War Z' is a film about fighting zombies, and it's funny that the film has screened (and screened well) but is still fighting undead rumors about it being a total disaster. We saw the film and liked it, but it's going to need good word of mouth to be one of the hits this summer. Perhaps it will get better word with this clip, which sets up how Brad Pitt is forced into action to stop the zomb
