The Swon Brothers Recall Their Most Unusual Halloween Costumes
When it comes to Halloween costumes, the Swon Brothers' Colton has the most vivid memories, although his brother Zach recalls a look that could have been a mid-'90s costume, but unfortunately wasn't.
The duo told Taste of Country Nights host Sam Alex about about dressing up as Jiminy Cricket and a UPS man in separate years. And then there was that one hairdo Colton tried out ...
"He looked like Farrah Fawcett," the dark-haired Swon reveals of his younger brother's mullet. "He had like the Carol Brady, helmet thing going on for awhile."
The Swon Brothers just released their self-titled debut album, featuring the Top 20 single 'Later On' and the new single 'Pray for You.' “It’s just a song of hope, and I think a lot of people are gonna relate to this song,” Zach says of 'Pray for You.'
Other highlights from the album include 'Chasing You Around.' Colton says it shows off their influences, specifically the Eagles. 'Songs That Said It All' was literally born at an Eagles concert. The brothers recall running into Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood of Lady Antebellum at the show, and together, they penned the song.
Fans know the Swon Brothers from their time on 'The Voice.' They had momentum after the show, but aren't taking anything for granted these days.
"We got a lot of work, a lot to prove," Zach says. "It doesn’t feel like pressure -- it feels like a blessing more than anything.”
