If you hear a bunch of jingling and see a bunch of Santa hats running on The Lakewalk Saturday morning in Duluth, it's for a great cause and you should join them!

This Saturday, December 5, is the 2015 Jingle Bell Run/Walk to benefit the Arthritis Foundation.  According to the foundation, arthritis is America’s #1 cause of disability affecting more than 50 million Americans, or roughly one in five adults. There are more than 100 different types of arthritis that strike people of all ages.

The event will feature a chip-timed 5K run and 1 mile walk.  Participants are encouraged to dress in a holiday theme and jingle bells are always a nice touch.

Registration for the event is $40 and you can still register at packet pick up today  from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Duluth Running Co. (1026 E. Superior St., Duluth).  You can also register Saturday morning at Grandmas Sports Garden.

Here is the event schedule:

  • 8:00 a.m. - Registration and T-shirt pick up (Grandma's Sports Garden)
  • 9:00 a.m. - Run/Walk Begins - The course will take you on The Lakewalk
