Superior Grizzly’s and 7 West Taphouse In Duluth + Superior Offering Bulk Sanitizer
Over the weekend, Twin Ports area restaurants Grizzly's and 7 West Taphouse announced they have added something new to their roster of offerings - only this item is not to eat or drink. The restaurants, which are all owned by the same parent company, shared that they are now offering bulk sanitizer from Minnesota-based Han-San Company LLC.
On the surface, this may seem like a strange marriage of businesses - restaurants and a hand sanitizer company. As Han-San explains on their Facebook page, they are unable to ship the product due to the alcohol content, but they have decided to "[partner] up with family owned restaurants that have been forced to shut down during this time." They continue "This is to hopefully influx business to them by having our hand sanitizer to sell along with their fantastic To-Go Food options. This is a way for us to support local and get out this fantastic product to the public as well."
The partnership was initially shared on the Superior Grizzly's Facebook page, explaining that while this product is not being freely given away, they say the price is "about half the price of anything you can find in stores."
The bulk sanitizer, which the company says is government approved, has an 80% alcohol content. This level of alcohol is in the range of effective alcohol content the federal government recognizes as capable of killing COVID-19 and other viruses. The sanitizer is a liquid, similar to the sanitizer being offered by distilleries around the country like Vikre in Duluth. The unscented, non-gel sanitizer can be sprayed with a spray bottle. It is currently being offered in 1 gallon and 5 gallon sizes, and there are hopes to offer half-gallon sizes soon as well.
Whether you are an individual or business looking to get some of this sanitizer, you can contact Grizzly's in Superior, the Miller Hill or the Superior 7 West Taphouse location. All three of these locations still have their kitchens open for curbside pickup and delivery during the COVID-19 shutdowns. The Downtown Duluth location is currently closed, with their Facebook page saying they are undergoing remodeling.
