Starbucks locations across the country will be closing early for 'anti-bias' training after an incident at one of their stores last month.

Nearly 8,000 stores will be closed beginning this afternoon. That includes the locations we have here in the Northland.

The stores will start to close after the lunch rush, so if you want your coffee fix make sure you head to your nearest location earlier rather than later.

Here's what you can expect:
- Starbucks on 331 West Superior Street in downtown Duluth will close beginning at 2 p.m. and will remain closed until normal business hours tomorrow.
- Starbucks on 1405 Miller Hill Trunk Highway will close at 2:30 p.m. and will not open again today.
- Starbucks at 1002 Woodland Avenue will also close starting at 2:30 p.m. with the shop opening again tomorrow morning.

The Starbucks location inside Target will remain open.

Starbucks addressed the early closures on their website, writing, "We are closing early as our teams reconnect with our mission and each other."

They also tweeted a message to their nearly 12 million followers, writing:

In April, two black men were arrested at a Starbucks in Philadelphia while waiting inside the store without ordering anything. A video of their arrest went viral and sparked the coffee franchise to make a big change.
