St. Louis County Board Votes ‘No’ on Marriage Amendment
The much talked about amendment will go to the public polls in November, but St. Louis Country commissioners made an early stand and voted 4-3 to oppose the marriage amendment. If the amendment passes at the polls next month, it would ban gay marriage in Minnesota.
According to a story on DuluthNewsTribune.com, about 25 people attended the meeting in the Duluth courthouse with fewer than a dozen speaking on the issue before commissioners acted on the issue.
