A heartbreaking story is making it's way around Facebook today after a tourist shared the tragic incident that took place over Labor Day weekend. Jillian & David Brazeau made a short road trip to Duluth and visited Enger Tower with their pet dog Shyra. While they were at the base of Enger Tower, someone from above threw a rock down and it struck their pet dog in the head. Shyra then died in her owner's arms.

No one admitted to throwing the rock, and Shyra's owners are heartbroken. They've contacted the police and they are looking into the incident. They also are urging Enger Tower to put a net at the top of the tower window. As they point out, this could have killed a human.

If you have any information, please contact the Duluth Police at 218-730-5563.
