Remember This Big Minnesota Fail On ABC?
There is really nothing I love more than a really addicting series. My best friend recently convinced me to watch Scandal and within the first few episodes, I was hooked.
Also within the first few episodes? There was a little bit of a Minnesota fail. This may seem random, considering the show takes place in Washington, D.C. It gave me a good laugh and I even had to rewind.

The show was huge back when it premiered a decade ago. Yes, I am really late to the party on this one but it wasn't on my list until I saw it on Netflix. The show came out in April of 2012 and went on to have seven successful seasons.
I am on season two now but am still thinking about what I saw in season one that made me laugh. I would say spoilers ahead but since the show is more than a decade old, I think I am probably the last to watch it anyway. Ha!
ABC Show Gives Minnesota A Shoutout - And It's A Fail!
During season one, Olivia is 'fixing' a big problem: the president is being accused of having an affair with one of his aides. At this point, Olivia finds her sitting on a bench and threatens her. This is where the fail comes in. (This show really keeps me on my toes. Ha!)

During this scene, while threatening the woman, she tells her to pack up her things and 'go to a small city' like Minneapolis. I almost choked on my water because...Minneapolis is NOT a small city, even by a long shot.
She also suggests Denver, which is also not a small city at all. Most people know this about both cities so maybe they caught on. Maybe I just did because I am a Minnesotan through and through. (Yes, I know D.C. is bigger than Minneapolis but that still doesn't make it a small city. Ha!)

Another fun connection? One of the main cast members filmed a movie in Duluth a few years ago and even did some shopping downtown. I love it.
