As if Santa wasn't busy enough, 45 years ago he had a meeting with The Port of Duluth Kiwanis Club and decided to make breakfast with Northland families a tradition.  That tradition continues this Saturday, December 10 at the First United Methodist Church (the Coppertop),  230 E Skyline Pkwy in Duluth.

I've been to this festive event many times and you can see the excitement and joy on the faces of the children to visit with Santa, sit on his lap and tell him what's trending on their Christmas wish list.  Each child will also get to pick out a book to take home.  That's because the Kiwanis Club International is part of the RIF (Reading Is Fundamental) program.  Of course, parents and guardians are just as excited for the delicious Perkins Restaurant pancakes!  Personally, I think that's why Mrs. Claus comes with Santa to this event :)

The entertainment at the breakfast is top notch for Santa's visit too.  The Duluth Community Band will be there.  Gerry Ouellette will have a sing-a-long (so bring your best voices) and bagpipes.

According to WDIO.com,  cost to attend the breakfast is $5 per person or $20 per family and your money is put right back into our community with the Duluth Public Library's summer Kaleidoscope program.
