Sandy Hook Promise Releases Chilling Back-To-School Video

Sandy Hook Promise is a nonprofit organization dedicated to training students and adults to know the signs of gun violence so that no other parent experiences the tragic, senseless loss of their child.

The 'Back-To-School Essentials' video, which you can watch above, is not easy to sit through. Some people are upset this video was even produced, but I think it's important to remember the threat that is out there and to prepare our kids for the world we live in. Schools have 'active shooter drills' every school year for this reason.

The Sandy Hook Promise is also something you can sign online. It states:

The Sandy Hook Promise
Our hearts are broken;
Our spirit is not.
And it is with this knowledge

with purpose and strength.

by turning our tragedy into a moment of transformation.
