Salad Products Sold In Minnesota + Wisconsin Recalled
Nearly 100,000 pounds of salad products sold in Minnesota and Wisconsin are being recalled.
The company in question is Missa Bay, LLC and some of their salad products are being recalled due to the possibility of E. coli contamination. According to the United States Department of Agriculture, the products being recalled contain meat or poultry and all contain lettuce from the same lot.
The products being recalled were made between October 14th and 16th of this year and have the following code on the packaging: EST. 18502B. The list of pre-made salad products range in size and brand. A full list can be found here.
The salad products were shipped to several different states, including Minnesota and Wisconsin, as mentioned. The press release says the product may be in restaurants and distribution centers and should be discarded or returned immediately.
This is a Class I recall, which means there is a "reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death."
