A list has been compiled of the safest cities across America. Researchers used crime data for both violent and property crimes from each city, along with other factors, to come up with a list of the safest 100 cities in the US.

Safewise calculated the crime rates per 1,000 people in each city they analyzed. The most recent crime data they have is from the FBI's 2023 crime report. The rankings were based on per capita crime, and violent and property crimes were weighed equally.

Minnesota didn't have a community in the top 10 safest cities in America. Those cities were #10 Boxford, NJ, #9 Vernon Township, NJ, #8 Eliot, ME, #7 Cape Elizabeth, PA, #6 Indiana Township, PA, #5 Plainfield, CT, #4 Sagamore Hills, OH,  #3 Hawthorn Woods, IL, #2 Pingree Grove, IL, and #1 Campton Hills, IL.
