Minnesota Law Enforcment Creates ‘Safe Internet Purchase Exchange Area’

This last summer I was searching through a grocery store parking lot for a guy from Facebook marketplace selling something I wanted. It was just getting dark and I remember thinking this is a little sketchy.

The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office has created a "safe internet purchase exchange area." It's located at their Public Safety Building at 2030 N Arlington Avenue in Duluth.

Not only is this area right in front of the local law enforcement offices, but it also has its own dedicated video surveillance.

You can find the spaces right in the main lot to the right of the law enforcement statues.
