Really?! Wisconsin Winter Weather Advisories Issued Saturday With Up To 6 Inches Of Snow Expected, More In Michigan
The last weekend of April has arrived and for parts of the Northland, spring is not quite ready to make take over. As snowy as this past season has been, would we expect anything different?
On Saturday, the National Weather Service issued a series of Winter Weather Advisories that cover portions of Wisconsin and Michigan where more accumulating snow will be falling this weekend.
One Wisconsin advisory is in effect from 7:00 p.m. Saturday through 10:00 a.m. Sunday and includes the cities of Spread Eagle, Rhinelander, Eagle River, Lac Du Flambeau, Aurora, Commonwealth, and Crandon:

Another advisory was issued for the Hurly area:

While up to 5 inches of snow could fall in those areas, the Ashland area was issued a Winter Weather Advisory as they may see 4 inches of snow:
- WHAT: Wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

While residents in those areas aren't likely excited by the weekend forecast, things could always be worse, and they are expected to be in Michigan where another Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Ontonagon, Gogebic, Iron, and Southern Houghton Counties. While most of the area may see a couple of inches of snow, up to 8 inches may fall from Ironwood to the Porcupine Mountains.
If you're in the areas of impact or have weekend travel plans, be sure to check road conditions and drive with caution.
