The Superior Street reconstruction project continues to move forward with another phase about to be officially completed, and you're invited to celebrate.

The City Of Duluth has announced that Phase II of the Superior Street Reconstruction Project will be completed on Friday, November 15.  The block of Superior Street between 3rd and 4th Avenue East will have temporary asphalt surfacing to allow the road to be open for the winter.

There will be a celebration in front of Pizza Luce at 10:00 a.m. and then the roadway will reopen.

The will mark the completion of a project that started in April of this year and was faced with many hurdles which included a record-breaking amount of rain that fell throughout the project, the discovery of a 20’ x 20’ foot crane pad that had to be removed, and a water main reconstruction between 3rd Avenue East that took longer than expected due to shallow bedrock.
