Over $1.1 Million Remains Unclaimed From Two Separate Monday Minnesota State Lottery Drawings
This week started off very profitable for two lucky people who purchased Minnesota State Lottery tickets. Hopefully, the people who combined to win over $1.1 million realize it and still have their winning tickets.
The Minnesota State Lottery confirmed Tuesday that a $1,037,792 winning ticket had been sold for the Gopher 5 game and that a jackpot-winning ticket had been sold for the North 5 game. That jackpot was nice $69,856.
Gopher 5 drawings are held at approximately 6:17 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Players can pick their own five numbers from 1 to 47, or ask for a Gopher 5 quick pick. or choose their own numbers.
To win the jackpot, you'd have to match all five numbers and that happened on Monday, February 13. Monday's winning numbers were 22-31-38-40-47.
The $1,037,792 winning ticket was sold at Twin Valley Convenience Store, located at 200 1st Street SW in Twin Valley, Minnesota.
That was not the only big winner on Mondy evening in Minnesota. While perhaps not as well known, North 5 is another way to win cash and it's played on a daily basis.
Players pick five numbers from 1 to 31. As is the case with other games, players can choose their own numbers or ask a North 5 quick pick to choose numbers for them.
Drawings are held daily at approximately 6:17 p.m. and tickets must be purchased by 6:10 p.m.
On Monday, February 13 the winning numbers were: 12-25-26-29-31. To win the jackpot, you have to have all five numbers and that's just what someone did.
According to the Minnesota State Lottery, that winning was sold at New Superette, which is located at 6290 Boone Ave. N in Brooklyn Park.
Hopefully, both winners realize it very soon so they can get their cash! Unless they decide to come forward publicly, we may never know who they are. Recently, regulation changes took place in order to protect lottery winners who win over $10,000. Big-money winners can become targets for scammers and fraud, so the Minnesota Lottery will not divulge their name unless they first agree to it.
