Oshkosh Oktoberfest Is Saturday, October 3rd

I've said it before and it bears repeating, this a the perfect time of the year to take a road trip and next weekend you can add Oshkosh as a destination and make an overnight trip out of it.

Saturday, October 3, it's the Oshkosh Oktoberfest.  The traditional Oktoberfest features German show bands, German food, German bier samplings, the 2K Bier Run, Costume contests, Children's (Kinder) playland, a Masskrugstemmen, cheese toss contest, frankfurter eating contest, stein relays, cultural displays and the annual Running of the Wiener Dogs!

It's a full day, but make sure you're there for the tapping of the keg at 2pm.  The Oshkosh Oktoberfest is on the corner of 6th and Oregon, you can get the full schedule below.
