That's right! If you are graduating this year, your commencement speaker is Oprah Winfrey. How did that happen?

The New York Times is reporting that Facebook will carry a virtual commencement speech by Oprah Winfrey. It will be streamed exclusively on the Facebook live format for all graduating seniors, whether you are in college or high school.

Facebook posted that the event will take place on May 15th at 2 pm EST. Which isn't exactly a night time commencement like mine was. The virtual speech will be delivered by Winfrey with guests Lil Nas X, Miley Cyrus, Awkwafina, Jennifer Garner, and Olympic Gymnast Simone Biles. Quite the line-up I would say.

Oprah is a busy lady, the NY Times is also reporting she has signed on to address Chicago area seniors, and it has to be a different speech than the one she delivers to the nation.

Facebook and Instagram will be featuring things that are for seniors since they will not have graduation this year. A Facebook web page says. It also talks about special things they will be able to do, like host a virtual graduation party, a custom filter, and messenger chat rooms.

On the Facebook feature page, it says on Monday, May 11, Instagram will kick off daily programming that will highlight different senior day things like senior skip day and other special senior things.
