We all know it is coming so once we accept that, this won't be so hard to take in! The Old Farmer's Almanac has put out their forecast for November and spoiler alert: it does contain the dreaded "s" word. Like I said, we all know it is coming.

We've been pretty spoiled here in the Duluth area as of late. Temperatures remained well above average - and warm! - into the first few days of October for our neck of the woods, and Minnesota in general. We even set a new high record on Tuesday (October 3rd), according to the National Weather Service of Duluth.

Will It Snow In Duluth This Month? Nope!

That is pretty much proof that we haven't had it too bad just yet. However, these warm temperatures have to a grinding halt and much cooler weather in the forecast. Just how cool? The Old Farmer's Almanac says we aren't expecting any snow in October, meaning we won't drop too low just yet.

When Can We Expect Our First Snowfall Of The Season?

Since the Old Farmer's Almanac says we aren't expecting our first snow this month, it's pretty safe to guess we will get it in November. It turns out that is true! The Old Farmer's Almanac says our first round of snow is on the way early in the month.

What Are The Exact Dates We Can Expect Snow?

The Old Farmer's Almanac got pretty specific with snow in the forecast. There are multiple dates and time periods we are expecting snow next month, meaning winter is really coming in hot. (No pun intended.)

  • November 1st through 5th: We can expect temperatures to cool off even more with rain and snow showers.
  • November 6th through 11th: Cold with periods of rain and snow from the sixth to the eleventh of the month.
  • November 12th through 15th: Frigid with flurries. Yay!
  • November 16th through 22nd: Cold with periods of snow.
  • November 23rd through 30th: While some sunshine is expected, it will be interrupted by more periods of snow and cold temperatures.

It looks like we really need to soak in October while we can because winter is wasting no time once it (apparently) rolls around right out of the gate next month. Happy fall?
