Man, this is heartbreaking. A coffee shop owner in Grand Marais posted a video on Instagram where she asks tourists to be kind. Apparently, the last few days have been difficult for them after what she describes as "horrid" comments from customers.

In the video, she shows a shot of Lake Superior and reminds people that the beauty of it is why they come here. The lake brings the community together and the tourists as well. But, she goes on to say that in the last couple of days they have had customers treat their staff "nothing short of horrifically."

Java Moose is the name of the shop, and they are right on the edge of Lake Superior.

In the video, she asks that the way some customers have been treating their staff is inexcusable, and reminds people that these are teenage kids. One of the staff that was berated by a customer was her own son.

How the heck can people get so upset over an order of coffee that they chew out someone while they are on vacation? Isn't it supposed to be a relaxing trip up the North Shore? Just take a look at the view and settle yourself down. You can see the harbor in Grand Marais, with the lighthouse off in the distance. It's supposed to be a pretty zen place!

Check out her plea in the video, and be sure to give them a nice tip and a smile if you stop by. As she says, be kind.
