While President Obama has won another term, coming out on top in both the electoral college and popular votes, other Northland elections and issues were decided in the wee hours of the morning.

The Duluth News Tribune is reporting that Chip Cravaack has conceded the 8th district race to Rick Nolan.  Also, according to The Duluth News Tribune, the Associated Press has declared that both the marriage and voter ID constitutional amendments have failed to pass in Minnesota.  The Vote No Campaign was especially successful in Duluth, where voters turned out in massive numbers to defeat the proposed amendments.
