New SPAM Hot Dogs Available Now In Minnesota
We're proud that SPAM comes from right here in Minnesota, even if we don't always eat it. When was the last time you had SPAM? I bought some a few weeks ago to make SPAM sushi. (It's actually really good.) Now, just in time for the summer season, they've come out with a new product: The SPAM Dog.
SPAM Dog Is SPAM Reimagined
It's pretty easy to explain this new product. It's the same salty, savory, and slightly sweet flavor of classic SPAM. It's just been reimagined into a hot dog form. Seriously, why haven't they thought of this before?
Where Can I Get The SPAM Dog?
It's not widely available, but it's expected to launch in more places as we go into summer. In Minnesota, you can get it now at CHS Field in St. Paul. That's the home of the St. Paul Saints. Hamline University baseball also plays at CHS Field.
SPAM says the dogs are best prepared on the grill or on a roller. That makes it perfect for outdoor venues this summer, like ballparks.
SPAM has offered sandwiches at venues previously. Like last year, they sold them at Target Field.
What Toppings Pair with the SPAM Dog?
You can use traditional condiments like mustard, ketchup, and relish. But if you want to go out of the box, you can try kimchi and pineapple jalapeño salsa. I bet that's big in Hawaii, where SPAM is a very popular item. Certain convenience stores in Hawaii already sell SPAM Dogs.
