It's time to start thinking about a summer job, especially students and even teachers that will be off for the summer but wants to make a little extra jing.  The City of Duluth has started thinking about summer and have 30 different positions open that they will need to hire for.  Maybe one of these jobs has your name on it!A variety of positions are open from working the our city parks to street maintenance.  They are using  hiring events to find people 18 years and older who are interested in working outdoors.  Good news too, wages were just increased for these positions so you could be making $12 an hour which is $1.50 more than last year.

You have to be available from May through August and will be interviewed on-site at the hiring fair you attend, so be prepared.  According to the City of Duluth press release the hiring events are scheduled for:

  • Tuesday, March 1st, 9:00 a.m. to Noon at Lake Superior College (Career Services in the Student Resource Center - Room E1011)
  • Tuesday, March 1st, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the UMD (Kirby Commons - Across from the UMD Bookstore)
  • Wednesday, March 2nd, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Duluth WorkForce Center (402 West First Street)
