Morgan Wallen Shares Heartwarming Post About Minneapolis Show
Morgan Wallen might not seem like one to be sentimental but a recent Instagram post may prove that the country star is a bit nostalgic.
Eric Church just announced a major one-night-only event at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The show features newcomer Ernest and Morgan Wallen as openers. The lineup is killer!
The concert is being dubbed the "One Hell Of A Night" show and it's easy to see why. The special show is putting two of the biggest names in country music on one docket! The show takes place in June.
Tickets to the show go on sale on Friday, March 11th at 10 a.m. There is also a special radio presale code you can use to snag tickets the Wednesday before.
The show was a huge surprise for the most part with one exception: the day before the announcement dropped, U.S. Bank Stadium let out a big clue as to who was coming to town. They put an Eric Church ice sculpture outside the venue for everyone to see.
Needless to say, the cat was let out of the bag and now we know about the incredible lineup. While fans went into a frenzy all over the place regarding the show, it was Morgan's response that was the best of all.
He shared show details on his Instagram page after the news dropped and the caption may bring a tear to your eye. You can read it below:
Considering all that he has accomplished in his career so far, it says a lot that he considers opening for Eric Church one of the biggest honors of his career so far. Yes, Eric Church is one of the biggest stars in country music but Morgan is on a headlining tour of his own that pretty much sold out every single date.
He also had arguably the biggest album of 2021 with his double album Dangerous. It went on to break records and top charts outside of the country music genre. Needless to say, he has accomplished quite a bit so it says a lot about how much this show means to him.
The two do have a great friendship which probably plays into his excitement as well. They have built a great friendship over the years, singing each others praises in interviews and such. At one point, Eric called Morgan "damn good" and authentic. Morgan has also called Eric his hero and inspiration.
By the way, you can almost bet on Ernest and Morgan performing together at some point during the Minneapolis show, as they are close friends as well. They put out a song together that is currently climbing the charts and will likely be a big smash.
It is going to be an amazing show! We will see you there. In the meantime, you can catch other great country concerts and keep up with them all with our concert calendar.
